So apparently booking on the Man Booker Prize is a thing. Answering the question of whether you can bet on anything, author Neel Mukherjee's "The Lives of Others" has emerged as the favorite to win the prestigious 2014 Man Booker Prize, according to the Guardian.

The novel, about a family struggling to survive in 1960s Calcutta, is one of six finalists, two of whom are American authors Karen Joy Fowler ("We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves") Joshua Ferris ("To Rise Again at a Decent Hour") thanks to a rules change.
