A new study has revealed that lightening strikes in the US will increase by 50% within the next 100 years. The major factor behind this is climate change and global warming.

The researchers from the from University of California Berkeley suggest that the increase in lightening is due the rise in temperature as lightening strikes occur more frequently when the temperature is warmer.
