Liberia Is Free of Ebola Again, Remains on ‘Heightened Surveillance’

The outbreak of the disease was declared over in the month of May 2015 after there was no Ebola case reported for 42 consecutive days, which is considered to be twice of the virus’ incubation period.

The World Health Organization has urged Liberia to continue 90 days of heightened surveillance for potential Ebola cases.
