A study has revealed that organically grown up food contains key antioxidants 70% higher than what their conventional counterparts. The study has suggested consuming an organic diet to boost antioxidant intake. An organic diet is capable of providing amounts of antioxidants that are equivalent to one to two extra portions of fruits and vegetables a day.
Findings of the study have been published in the British Journal of Nutrition. It was also found by the study that the levels of harmful metals were significantly lower in organic food items.
