Legislation proposes to raise the bar on smoking age in California from 18 to 21

Representing the varied interests of health groups including the California Medical Association, the American Cancer Society, and the American Lung Association among others, state Sen. Ed Hernandez (D-West Covina) on Thursday introduced a bill that seeks to raise the legal minimum smoking age in California from 18 to 21.
