League gives players incentives to boost grades

A new basketball league for middle school boys will focus on 2 point shots and 2.5 GPAs.

The ICE League, or Inner City Educational League, will hit the court in February. Its mission is to "utilize sports and other activities to connect students and their parents to positive educational opportunities, healthy living opportunities and career pathway opportunities."
