A latest report is giving an analysis on the fiscal state of hospitals in Pennsylvania, and the assessment does not look encouraging.

According to the Financial Analysis 2013: General Acute Care Hospitals, a report, which has been written by Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council (PHC4), demonstrates that the commonwealth's hospitals are not provided adequate funding's by Medicaid and Medicare.

Andy Carter, who is the President and CEO of the Hospital and Health System Association of Pennsylvania, said a sicker population has a hand in the financial volatility of hospitals.
