The oceans are a dynamic place with things happening all the time. The daily movements of sea creatures also add on to the power of the waves. To demonstrate this toy-store aquarium pets that are actually brine shrimp, Sea Monkeys follow the variations of light to move in between the surface and the depths, and churn the water in the process.

Engineering professor from Caltech, John Dabiri along with graduate student Monica Wilhelmus set up lasers to guide the critters up and down through a tank of water.
