Laser-guided sea monkeys stir up watery vortex

Tiny sea monkeys, which are actually a species of brine shrimp, contribute a lot to create giant ocean currents as well as stirring up nutrients, heat and salt in the water, according to a new research.

The research, led by Caltech's aeronautics & bioengineering Prof. John Dabiri found that the tiny shrimp could be adding up to one trillion watts of power to the ocean waters per year to drive the circulation of currents.
