Lack of physical activity results in weaker bones: Study

Researchers claim that human bones have become more fragile due to a shift to more sedentary lifestyle. According to the research team, the switch from a physically demanding lifestyle of hunting and gathering on to agriculture would help them known why most of the modern humans have bones that are thinner, lighter and more fragile as compared to the bones of other primates.

During the study, the researchers compared the hip joints from several samples of foraging populations, early agriculturalists, and comparably sized nonhuman primates.
