Kyrgyzstan PM resigns amid corruption allegations

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan – Kyrgyzstan's president has accepted the resignation of the ex-Soviet nation's prime minister amid allegations of corruption.

Temir Sariyev submitted his resignation Monday after less than a year in office, saying he decided to leave the post to help "preserve stability in the country." President Almazbek Atanbayev quickly accepted his resignation.
