KU Hospital sees surge from flu epidemic

The University of Kansas Hospital reported two flu-related deaths within the past two weeks and continues to see an influx in flu cases.

"These numbers of flu patients are earlier than normal and in higher numbers than normal. It's one of the worst flu surges I have seen in my eight years here," Dr. Lee Norman, chief medical officer of KU Hospital, said in a statement Tuesday.
