In observance of the annual World Diabetes Day on Friday (Nov. 14), The Kingdom Tower in Riyadh, a major landmark in the Saudi capital at 302m high, was lighted in blue which is the color of the circle logo for diabetes - signifying the unity of the global diabetes community in response to the diabetes pandemic.

It was the Saudi National Diabetes Awareness Program's choice to solicit the collaboration of Kingdom Tower in observing this year's World Diabetes Day by illuminating Riyadh's major landmark with blue lights symbolizing global diabetes day to deliver far greater message across.
