Biologists studying the Great Lakes have raised concerns over killer shrimps. The shrimp’s scientific name is Dikerogammarus villosus and it is an inch long. However, do not go on the size of the shrimp as its large mandibles make it an aggressive predator.
The shrimp has already become a problem in Western European waters. Researchers from McGill University were of the view that the killer shrimp acts as a problem for the Great Lakes before 2063.
