PHILADELPHIA, June 27 (UPI) -- Country singer Kenny Chesney had to issue an apology after mistakenly telling thousands of fans at Lincoln Financial Field Saturday that a cop shot in the line of duty had died. He had not.
Chesney told the crowd that Folcroft Borough Police Officer Christopher Dorman had been killed. Dorman had been shot seven times in the line of duty, but was recovering in a local hospital, ABC reported.
