Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke were ordered to pay Marvin Gaye’s family $7.4 million after a jury decided that the pop stars copied the music for “Blurred Lines” from “Got to Give It Up.” Williams testified that he wasn’t thinking of the late soul singer’s 1977 tune when he wrote the 2013 hit.
