Just Three Gray Wolves now Remaining at Michigan’s Isle Royale

Researchers from Michigan Technological University unveiled that Michigan’s Isle Royale, which till last year was having a wolf population of nine animals, now stands at three. It comprises of a mating couple and a pup.

The researchers made the discovery during their annual winter survey of the island. John Vucetich, an ecologist with Michigan Tech, said that the wolf population of the island is on the verge of extinction.
