‘Jurassic World’ Director Colin Trevorrow Unleashes New Teaser Image

The biggest question on everyone’s mind for the upcoming series reboot ‘Jurassic World’ is how the film is going to be different. There’s a pretty clear formula when it comes to ‘Jurassic Park’ movies, and it’s largely what doomed Universal’s most recent effort in back in 2001. But while the story might be taking place back on the fabled island of Isla Nublar, director Colin Trevorrow has tried to make it very clear that his film is a new take on the subject matter. In fact, the director has said that part of what drew him to the project was a new direction for the story: one in which a “natural evolution of the technology” from the first film leads scientists to genetically engineer a new type of dinosaur. As Trevorrow succinctly puts it, “This creation exists to fulfill a corporate mandate—they want something bigger, louder, with more teeth. And that’s what they get.”

Another part of this new direction is in the work of Chris Pratt’s character Owen, who does in-depth studies on the behavior of the Velociraptors.
