Joey Cook, a Virginia native who moved to New Orleans last year, was voted off Fox's "American Idol" on Wednesday (April 15). After arriving in the week's bottom two via viewer vote, Cook lost the night's Twitter "save," and Rayvon Owen moved on as one of the season's top six singers.
Quentin Alexander, a McDonogh Senior High School graduate who'd become close with Cook as they both advanced through the competition, also was voted forward. Alexander was the last of the viewer votes revealed, and his emotions overflowed at Cook's bottom-two status.
