The Hollywood Foreign Press Association did something relatively evil with its Golden Globe nominations this year: pit the industry's most beloved new best friends, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer, against each other in the best-actress-in-a-comedy category. Despite the friendly competition, Lawrence and Schumer kept their separate red-carpet appearances lighthearted, telling reporters how excited they were to attend their first formal Hollywood function together. And when it came time for the category's winner to be announced, Lawrence and Schumer had shifted seats inside the Beverly Hilton ballroom so that they were sitting next to each other when the victor, who turned out to be Lawrence, was called.
Afterward, Lawrence made her way backstage to answer questions from press and confirm that there will be no hard feelings between the screenwriting partners.
