James Franco To Adapt ‘Fight Club’ Author Chuck Palahniuk’s ‘Rant’

Lit Reactor reveal that James Franco has picked up the feature film rights to ‘Fight Club’ author Chuck Palahniuk’s 2007 novel ‘Rant.’ Palahniuk writes, “As of last night we’ve finalized a deal for James Franco to option my novel Rant. Details about the casting, shooting and a proposed release date will be forthcoming. Hurray. After the opportunity to work with Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Sam Rockwell, I can’t imagine a more exciting actor to work with than Franco.”

Currently filming an adaptation of Steve Erickson’s ‘Zeroville,’ James Franco’s literary adaptations to date include ‘The Sound And The Fury,’ ‘Child Of God,’ and ‘As I Lay Dying.’ At this moment in time it’s unclear if Franco will direct, act or produce the ‘Rant’ adaptation (it’s likely all three)...
