Two giants are returning to the Broadway stage. It was announced Wednesday that James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson will appear together in a new production of D,L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning The Gin Game, set to begin previews Sept, 21 and open Oct. 13 at the Golden Theatre.
The revival, to be directed by Leonard Foglia, will cast Jones and Tyson as a man and woman who meet on the porch of their nursing home, and first strike up a friendship while he's teaching her to play gin rummy.
