Indian space agency ISRO has released images of Comet Siding Spring taken by its Mars Orbiter last month. Comet Siding Spring is distant comet that created once-in-eight-million-year fireworks show above Mars last month. This image was taken on October 19 when ISRO's Mars Orbiter had the opportunity to witness the Comet Siding Spring’s close approach to Mars. Beside the image, the Mars orbiters were able to capture valuable information about the comet’s composition, size, and trajectory.
According Nick Schneider, a scientist at the University of Colorado, the best view of the meteor shower would have been from the Red Planet and it would have been truly stunning to the human eye.
