ISIS demanded $132 million in ransom from James Foley’s family, employer in series of ‘deadly serious’ emails

GlobalPost and Foley's family began receiving demands via email from the Islamic State last fall. A week before Foley was beheaded, the terrorists sent a rage-filled message detailing their intention to kill him. Attorney General Eric Holder condemned the militants for the killing and called Foley a 'symbol of what’s right about the United States.'

Before Islamic extremists brutally beheaded an American journalist on camera, they demanded $132 million in ransom from his family and his employer.
