Iron deficiency during pregnancy 'increases the risk of having a child with autism'

Researchers from the University of California in the U.S. advised pregnant women women to take the daily dosage of vitamins during pregnancy as iron deficiency increased the risk of autism.

Those who have children with autism are significantly less likely to report taking iron supplements before and during their pregnancies than the mothers of children who are developing normally, U.S. researchers found.
