IRIS Probe Unveils New Information About The Sun

While the sun is the nearest star to Earth, there is not that much known about it. It has been hard to study the star, because it emits high temperatures that can practically melt probes sent to study it. A new spacecraft launched by NASA, the Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph probe, better known as IRIS, has made it easier for scientists to study the sun. The craft, has made it easier to study the star from a safe distance. Its instruments allow scientists to gather information from regions that are 150 miles wide in just a few seconds.
