ANKARA Iran has denounced as "theft" a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that almost $2 billion in frozen Iranian assets must be paid to American families of those killed in the 1983 bombing of a U.S. Marine Corps barracks in Beirut and other attacks blamed on the Islamic Republic, state television reported.
"This is totally rejected. It is theft ... it is like stealing Iran's money and we condemn it," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaber Ansari was quoted as saying.
