Insulin nasal spray can be used to treat Alzheimer’s

Good news for people with memory problem! A pilot study conducted by Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center shows that a man-made insulin detemir nasal spray can improve memory and other mental capacities of people with mild cognitive impairment. It might be a good solution for people suffering from dementia as well due to Alzheimer’s disease according to the researchers.

Suzanne Craft, PhD said that, “This study provides preliminary evidence that insulin detemir can provide effective treatment for people diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s-related dementia similar to our previous work with regular insulin.”
