Injected bacteria can shrink human tumours

Washington: In a breakthrough, scientists have developed a modified version of a bacteria that produces a strong and precisely targeted anti-tumour response in rats, dogs and humans.

In its natural form, Clostridium novyi (C novyi) is found in the soil and, in certain cases, can cause tissue-damaging infection in cattle, sheep and humans.
