Indonesian police name chief editor of English-language newspaper suspect In blasphemy case

JAKARTA, Indonesia – Indonesian police have named editor in chief of a leading English-language newspaper a suspect in a blasphemy case after the paper published a cartoon that allegedly insults Islam.

The cartoon published July 3 showed a flag of the militant Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq replaced with a skull and crossbones, but it left Islamic sacred phrases in Arabic inside the scull.
