Increased Stress Levels may speed up Cognitive Decline later in Life

According to a new study, increase stress hormones levels in the body are associated with cognitive decline when the age progresses. It is clear that it affects cognitive function but the decline rate varies from person to person.

This study also reveals the mechanism by which stress influences the brain. In the aged rats, it was seen that increase stress hormone corticosterone levels were associated with the short term memory loss and other brain changes.
