IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. – Imperial County’s unemployment rate went up slightly in April to 21.2 percent. The rate is higher than March’s rate of 19.9 percent. In 2014, April’s unemployment rate came in at 21.6 percent. All of the numbers are not seasonally adjusted.
Meanwhile, California’s unemployment rate dipped slightly in April to 6.3 percent as the economic recovery created nearly 30,000 new jobs.
