The Human Right Campaign Supports the Use of Truvada To Prevent HIV/AIDS

One of the largest gay activist groups has thrown their support in favor of a proposal for people to use a daily pill to prevent HIV. The group has called for insurers to fund the coverage of this drug. Doctors have been unwilling to prescribe, Truvada, because they fear that once patients take this drug, they will engage in risky and unprotected sexual acts. Despite medical practitioners being reluctant to prescribe the drug. the CDC as well as the World Health Organization, along with different HIV/AIDS advocacy organizations support prescribing the drug as a preventive measure.
