Huge water reservoir found 600 km beneath Earth's crust

A recent research finding published in the journal Science has found evidence of a vast reservoir of water located around 400 miles beneath the earth's crust, almost near the mantle.

The state of the water is still unknown, thought what has been sure of is that this water body is locked and trapped inside a blue mineral called ringwoodite. This mineral layer is found in the mantle, which is a hot rocky layer between the Earth's crust and outer core.
