Hubble telescope takes striking images of Galaxy IC 335 60 million light years away

Recent image by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope reveals an eerie-looking white galaxy. The image shows this galaxy against the backdrop of other galaxies. Located 60 million light-years away, the galaxy IC 335 is part of a galaxy group containing three other galaxies, and located in the Fornax Galaxy.

NASA reports that it is an S0 galaxy. S0 galaxies have “ill-defined” spiral arms and are also mistaken for elliptical galaxies if viewed on an incline or face-on.
