'Houdini,' TV review

History’s “Houdini” could use a little more magic, but thanks to Adrien Brody, this new miniseries gives intriguing dimension to a man who these days has become mostly myth.

Harry Houdini, immigrant son of a Hungarian rabbi, was the most famous performer in vaudeville a century ago, when vaudeville was the country’s biggest mass entertainment medium.
