Findings of a new study have revealed that hot flashes, bursts of intense warmth and sweating in some middle-aged women could actually last as long as 14 years. Published in JAMA Internal Medicine, the study clearly showed that average duration for which women endured symptoms was seven and half years.
The study, which is largest to date, included 1,449 women with frequent hot flashes or night sweats.
