Hospira’s Painkiller Dyloject Receives Approval from FDA

Pharmaceutical major Hospira has informed that the US Food and Drug Administration has given approval to its new injectable painkiller. As per sources, Hospira's Dyloject is a non-opioid injection that provides faster relief to patients suffering moderate to severe pain. The approval has come amid efforts to curb rising opioid-prescription drug abuse.

The Lake Forest, Illinois-based company, in a statement on Tuesday said that the drug can also be used alone or in combination with opioid analgesics.
