Higher Breast Ca Risk for Childhood Cancer Survivors

CHICAGO -- Women who survived a childhood cancer were at elevated risk for breast cancer even if they were never exposed to chest radiation during their initial therapy, a researcher said here.

These women had nearly four times the risk of the disease as women in the general population, according to Tara Henderson, MD, MPH, of the University of Chicago.
