High protein diets can lower the risk of stroke

It is a well-known fact that poor diet combined with a poor lifestyle is a risk factor for stroke. Foods rich in fat leads to build up of fat deposits inside the arteries which eventually leads to high blood pressure.

According to a study by Dr. Xinfeng Liu from the Nanjing University School of Medicine in China and a team of researchers, past research works have shown that dietary protein can lower the blood pressure reducing the risk of stroke. However, these researches are inconclusive.
