A car bomb that detonated Friday in Qubba, an eastern Libya town controlled by the internationally recognized government, killed at least 30, the Associated Press reported, citing a military spokesman.

The spokesman, according to the AP, described the car bomb as having exploded next to a gas station where drivers were lined up to purchase fuel. The gas station, the report added, is near the local security headquarters.
