Katherine Heigl has hitched her career-comeback wagon to a frenetically overwritten and ultimately underwhelming new political drama called "State of Affairs," premiering Monday on NBC.
The political thriller, created by Joe Carnahan ("Those Who Kill"), desperately wants to be the broadcast TV version of "Homeland." Make that "another" broadcast TV version of "Homeland."
