Heavy drinking raises women's injury risk more than men's

Research in The New England Journal of Medicine found that women who had one drink a day were 20 percent less likely than teetotalers or heavier drinkers to experience a decline in their cognitive function.

Heavy drinking increases the risk of being injured, and far more so for women than men, researchers say.
