NBC is leaning on its top-rated entertainment program, The Voice, to boost mid-season comedies and dramas.

Two new series, Crowded and Heartbeat, and a returning comedy, The Carmichael Show, will get March preview launches after The Voice before moving to their regular timeslots. The hope is that more viewers will be available to sample the shows if they run after the network's most-watched show.
