Health Officials test 27 People Positive for TB at Olathe Northwest High School

On Wednesday, state and county health officials confirmed 27 tuberculosis cases at Olathe Northwest High School, but symptoms of active disease have not been noticed so far in any of them. Testing was conducted on 304 students and staff members by the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment after the news surfaced that a student was confirmed having tuberculosis (TB) earlier this month.

TB is very a contagious disease and people with the disease can infect others.
