Hawaii Lava Flow Stalls and Businesses Seek to Reopen

The advancing edge of the Hawaii lava flow that, earlier on, threatened a commercial building, is seemed to be come to a halt again. It is stalling slowly and now businesses are planning to make plans to reopen their doors to folks. The flow of lava that had been approaching Pahoa Village is presently less than half a mile (0.8 km) from the major highway that connects over one thousand residents to the rest of the Hawaii island.

According to Hawaii County Defense Administrator Darryl Oliveria the flow of the lava remains active and it continues to expand. He added that the lava has shown the least activity since Wednesday.
