Haverhill woman brings books, volleyball to Jamaican youths

For children attending a small public school in a rural Jamaican town, the first children's books they were able to borrow appeared to be magical, wonderful things. They pushed and shoved to get closer to the books that were being unboxed and would soon be in their eagerly awaiting hands.

Imagine a public school without a library. The daughter of City Councilor Thomas Sullivan is a Peace Corps volunteer in Jamaica where she spearheaded the creation of a library at a school in a rural town that is lacking in educational resources.
