Harvard Scientist Gets Up Close And Personal With Goliath Spider In The Wild

Piotr Naskrecki is an entomologist and wildlife photographer. One night, he was walking through the rainforest in Guyana when he heard a rustling in the underbrush. He turned on his flashlight to find a creature moving around on the ground, about the size of a puppy.

Of course, this is the rain forest and there are no puppies. It was a goliath spider.
