‘Happy wife, happy life’ is the key to marital bliss, study finds

According to a statement from Rutgers University, when it comes to keeping a marriage on track, the old adage “happy wife, happy life” rings true. This finding challenges an earlier study from the University of Chicago, which found that the reverse was true.

In a new study, Rutgers University researcher Deborah Carr teamed up with the University of Michigan’s Vicki Freedman and found that the more content the wife is with the long-term union, the happier the husband is with his life – no matter how he feels about their nuptials.
