A new study, the cost of caring, has revealed that happy events in lives of family and friends can lower stress levels in women, while bad news can raise that levels. The study has been conducted by the Pew Research Center's Internet project. The Pew is a nonpartisan American think tank based in Washington.
Pew's study had included more than 2,000 adults and conducted by telephone in English and Spanish. According to researchers of the study, they had used the Perceived Stress Scale, a psychological instrument for measuring the perception of stress, to measure stress level.
